Description
St. Christopher's at The Winston is a budget art hotel housed in a typical Amsterdam townhouse in the city centre, 50 metres from Dam Square and 1.5 kilometres from the Van Gogh Museum. The hotel comprises 69 individually decorated guestrooms with artistic murals and designer furnishings, all of which have patios, desks and bathrooms with makeup mirrors.
Belushi's serves classic American diner food such as burgers and hot dogs, as well as fish and salad dishes, in a lively atmosphere accompanied by rock music. Guests can dance until the early hours at The Winston International Club, which features live music and DJs, offers a different theme every night, including rock, jazz, hardcore, hip hop and techno. DirectionsThere is a railway station in the terminal's central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Centraal Station approximately every 15 minutes and cost approximately 4 EUR. The hotel is only a five minute walk from the station; follow Damrak for about 200 metres and turn left at the end of the Boat Cruise harbour. At the end, at the Chiquita Shop, is Warmoesstraat. Turn right, and the hotel is 100 metres on the left hand side. Alternatively, Schiphol Travel Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall and cost approximately €40 direct to the hotel. Public buses also run regularly to Amsterdam and other cities. Much of Amsterdam can be explored on foot although trams run throughout the city. More adventurous visitors may wish to hire bicycles.
